August has arrived.

I am ready. Ready to get out of this city but not for too long. There are much more things that I plan on conquering as this year goes on. I am leaving in 5 days to head home for another long visit with my family. I really can't wait. My focus for the next few weeks will be solely on them, my fabulous family. 

I have had so many great things that have happened to me this year. I have learned many important lessons on how to carry myself. I've met people who have given me the strength to conquer one goal and move past the rest that aren't worth it. How I've gotten to this point, to feel utterly safe and secure in my life, is a great accomplishment. 

As these days pass by ever so slowly before I leave, I start to appreciate even more the little surprises I witness each day. If not by my special someone or by the close people in my life that tell me things that give me more perspective on situations I am dealing with it. As Ligabue would say..che il meglio deve ancora venire (that the best is yet to come).
