Things are slowing down

Florence is a huge oven once again. I always pray for this time of year but then I soon regret it when the heat is overwhelming. I still travel to and from the school by bike, at least I get a bit of a breeze as I ride down the streets. As my lessons start to dwindle, I have more time to focus on my writing amongst other things. I have no big vacation plans coming up but only to head home for the month of August. I have been fortunate to spend a day at the beach a few weekends back. I had a fabulous time with this special someone as well. So it is nice that things are slowing down enough that I can enjoy myself as well.

I usually like to keep myself busy but every so often I really should slow down. All through the year I'm running around mad from one side of the city to another. I have been lucky enough to spend time with a special someone, we will call him that. If you have been reading this blog for a few years, you will remember how heartbroken I was after my first love fell apart. I never felt so devastated in my life. The time has passed incredibly fast and I now know what I want in life and what I want in a relationship. I have become stronger and am happy with what I have found in this special someone.

Going slow is what I have in mind in these weeks to come. As much as it kills me, because it will take that much longer to get home, but what can you do. I am going to focus wholeheartedly on myself and what I want to accomplish in these days to come and if anything special pops into view, I will enjoy it to the bitter end.
