Back to Florence

My month at home is over.  It was a great time full of family, friends and writing.  Thanks to the Gods that created fast speed internet.  Unfortunately, I was able to recharge my body and my mind.  I was able to push myself to find a schedule to write more.  I was writing almost every morning starting around 5:30am.  I was able to focus with the HUGE cup of coffee my mom would bring me before she left for work.

I have realized even more how good it is to be home.  As much as I love my new home, I miss the simple pleasures of being with my mom, dad, sisters, brother.  I miss being at the beck and call of my little niece, Addy and how she calls my name from the bottom of the stairs and then runs into my room when I don't respond.  I miss her little voice when she begs me to play with her.  I will miss seeing my nephew's smile when I make a funny face.

There is just so much that I am grateful for in this life I have created for myself.  I love you all!  You know who you are.

Now I am back to slow internet, drying my clothes outside in the sun, the trains soothing me to sleep, my bike rides to work, my walks to the market, the aperitivi, spontaneous meetings on the street, a quick panino at my favorite shop, sunsets that hit my soul, great conversations with great people, wandering eyes of the men on the street, teaching English to willing Italians and most of all living the life I chose for myself.

How grand is that?

a presto amici!!

It wasn't gods who created fast internet its the hard working engineers who get overlooked in "god shoutouts" they are the ones who make the magic happen.

Also I'm really sorry we didn't get to hang out more when you were home. My summer was packed as it was and although it was awesome seeing you, I really wish I found a way to work out a weekend. As frequent as your computer problems are, its always nice to have an excuse to talk to you. Hopefully I will be able to save up and could visit you out there for a week or something.

    Cheers Sorella
