I miss my boys!

This week has passed rather fast.  I have been traveling to Livorno for work only but something has been missing.  After teaching my first group of the Carabinieri,  I really miss the energy that was present in our class.  I miss the energy they gave me.  I miss laughing my ass off every day.  Thankfully a few of them are in contact with me.  The ones that make me laugh no less.    Last Thursday, 15 of them took me to dinner near the river Arno.  I was so excited to see all my boys in dashing, debonair suits and outside of the classroom.  They all have touched my heart in one way or another.  I really can't say anything bad about them.  I promised them that when I was out in the world I would express the Truth about Carabinieri.  Since I got to know them, these boys are definitely above par from any other Italian I have met.  In a different post, I will list all the differences between my boys and the Carabinieri on the street.  It will be a great post to understand exactly what these boys have to go through to become a Maresciallo(marshall).

Here are some pictures from our dinner together.

I will never forget my boys!!  This was truly a growing experience for me.  I hope we can keep in touch!

a presto amici!
