Full List of Activities

Ok guys,  I am ready to splurge all the happenings that have been occupying my time here in Florence.  I have had so much good fortune happen in these past weeks.  I have been grateful every morning I awake here in Florence.  Even if my paychecks are slim to none.  But I am doing it on my own.  I am living with my heart wide open to new possibilities and beginnings.  So here are my accomplishments since arriving here...

I am working as an English teacher in Prato
(30 minute train ride) every Tuesday and Thursday.  I completely adore the kids, well they are in their 20s, they have a real spice for life.  I have been told they adore me as well.  They were excited to hear that a madrelingua(mother-tongue) would be teaching English to them.  Since in Italy, most of the English teachers in grade schools and high schools are in fact italian.  I really enjoy their spirit and smiles each day.  Knowing each day I arrive it will be a challenge to help them understand the lesson.  But as most of you know, I LOVE CHALLENGES!

Next, I am teaching BodyFLOW in a gym in the center where I have a good following of women and one man. They all truly enjoy the feeling after the class.  I am an overachiever and am also teaching at a Yoga studio close to the Arno river.  It is an It's Yoga Firenze
studio out of San Francisco.  I am teaching Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 11am.  Yes, I know what you all are thinking.  I have too much on my plate already.  OH but I am not done.

I am writing for Nile Guide Travel Website.  I am the Local Expert for Florence  Yes, this is another one of my dreams that have come true.  I am elated and excited about this opportunity to write about my long-time love.  You can find my work at the Florence Destination Site.
I ask you to check in every so often since the site is constantly being improved in these months ahead.

Ok, I am still not done.

I am going to be doing part-time marketing work for a school in the center.

WHEW!  I am tired just typing all that.  I am keeping in mind that I need to rest my body and not overwhelm myself.  I am not normally this crazy.    OK yes I am.

All I ask of you, my blogging friends, is to ask your friends if they are traveling to Florence in the near future, have them stop by my Florence Destination Site at Nile Guide.  I have so much work to do to make that destination the best!

And if you are in Florence and want to try BodyFLOW, please come by It's Yoga Firenze.  Only 15 euro per class.

(Alessio and I)

Oh and I chopped my hair off.  I like it since it is easier to manage.  New me, New life.

a presto amici!

Congrats on teaching yoga while abroad. My initial plan was to get to the point in my practice of yoga where I could also teach the occasional class while traveling. However while traveling I got out of the habit of practicing and have yet to get back into it. I hope to be travelling to Europe in a couple of months however, and if I'm passing through your city I will definitely pay your studio a visit.
