Expect Nothing..

I am so very happy about my life here.  It has been settling and calming for me since I arrived.  I have rekindled friendships and made some new ones.  I am so grateful for this moment in my life.  Everything I have worked towards has finally paid off.  I have the citizenship and papers to work.  I have a job that helps me broaden my horizons as a teacher.  I am living everyday as a moment of gratitude and perseverance toward my ultimate goals.

Speaking of gratitude, Monday was a rainy and stormy day.  I made the most of it and from scratch La Pasta!  I was so proud of myself.  I then visited my old family here in Florence.  The family that I was a nanny for in 2007.  The girls are speaking very well in English.  And Maria is still a cuddlebug.  So glad I had that experience.  I enjoyed learning about myself and others.  How to react to others when the anger or frustration was not directed at you but had a deeper meaning.  I recently read a quote from a friend that speaks mountains on how my life is going right now.

"Expect nothing and accept everything and you will never be disappointed."

words to live by....
