The Wild Cat and My Veggies
Last night before I left to meet a friend, I was singing in my apartment with the kitchen doors open. I went to my room to grab my necklace and I heard a meow in the kitchen.

I was amazed that this cat had the courage to enter my kitchen. Perhaps by the attraction of my singing.
I don't know what this means but I am hoping a sign of good luck. New beginnings, new friends. I haven't named my friend the cat, but since she runs every time I see her but is still persevering forward with her curiosity of my presence. She isn't giving up on knowing the reason why I am here. I am going to call her, Persey.
As though she is persevering towards a new adventure as she trys to get to know me.
Persey and I hopefully will be able to learn some new things from each other as the months pass on.
This morning, I forced myself out of bed at 9:00am so I could make it to the veggie stand outside my house. I was served by a kind old lady asking me what I will use each vegetable for. For example, che farai con la centriole? (what will you make with the cucumber?) Insalata, I said. Brava, she said.
Here is what I purchased for a crazy low amount of Euro.

I love my neighborhood. Have I said that too many times already? I don't care. This is my life and I am grateful for the adventures I have experienced!!
I can't wait to go to the market again!!!!
YIPPPPEEE!!!!
a presto amici!!!

I really miss not going to Italy this Summer. Then I get hungry when I read stories about all of the great food in Italy!
