Codice Fiscale and Market shopping
Marco(the roommate) took my early this morning to the Agenzia delle Entrate to create my Codice Fiscale which is a tax number. It is similar to the US Social Security number. I will need this into order to open a bank account. As the wait started getting longer and longer, Marco was off to work and I was on my own. When my number was called, I was able to converse with the signora. I was surprised on how well I was speaking. Another success for me!
After that, I walked back to my neighborhood. The Agenzia is very close to my house. I bought some fresh tomatoes and garlic from one of the ladies selling fruits and veggies. Then knowing how much I miss my carpeted room I bought myself a rug for next to my bed. Very cheap and soft. I then went to the neighborhood supermarket and bought some more food since I bought just enough the other day. It felt so great walking down my street with my ecological safe bags like the little old ladies were carrying. Coming home, opening my kitchen doors to the breeziness of the early morning garden. Che bellezza!
Can't wait for tomorrow, opening my first bank account in Italy!

only just started reading your blog and don't know your whole story but so excited for you just the same!! enjoy every minute of it! i'm hoping we can move there one day too. i wish it was tomorrow, haha. the pictures are great!! congrats!!
