My Apartment and Neighborhood Market
I woke up again today at 6 am. My body clock is still off. Another annoying aspect of my non-sleeping nights, is the zanzare(mosquitoes). The tiger mosquitoes are famous for darting out of sight in a blink of an eye. My back, legs and arms are FULL of bites. Thank God for afterbite ointment(thanks mom!) I made a vow that I would go straight to the mercato(market) when it opened at 8am to buy vape, which is a vapor device that kills the mosquitos and prevents them from entering your room at night when it is a million degrees out and when u need air movement in your room. As I was walking home with a vape device in my purse, I noticed down the street behind our apartment there was a market that was lining the street. I walked along the market gazing at some linens and towels for the kitchen, once I started getting an income this will be the place I would go to shop. There are fruit stands, clothing racks of cheap summer clothes that I don't need. How nice I have market RIGHT there! Love it! When I arrived home Marco had already left for work so I started my daily tasks. Keeping the house tidy, put the dishes away from our dinner last night with a friend, I did some laundry, watered the garden full of sage, rosemary, tomatoes, basil, pumpkins. Once I meet the landlady I will ask her what else I can do to make it look nicer and if there are plants that are drowning in weeds.
Then Marco came home for lunch surprisely, usually he eats out, so we ate together. Discussed a few things about the house and what else we still need to add to it. He and I have become quite close within the first few days and I truly enjoy him as a roommate. We are just friends though, if any readers are wondering. There is another person in my life for cuddle time. Not ready to bring him up yet.
Well here is a picture of our garden. We are thinking of getting a little kiddie pool for the summer and eventually lawn chairs for suntanning.
It is like a jungle, it actually looks like this.

More pictures to come...we need to clean asap!
a presto amici!! Loving every minute I am here

Congratulations! You seem to be settling in, though I'm not sure your cuddle time friend would be happy with Marco.

Hi Katie--I'm so happy you are HOME! Sorry I didn't get to wish you all the happiness in the world in person. But that is what I wish for you. Your Dad gave me your blog address and I am keeping up with you every day. Take care and much love, Aunt Terri Ann.

Be careful with the sage - it's not supposed to get much water, just lots of sun
