A New Chapter has begun

I have started my new TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) this week.  I have finished the first Module and am now waiting to hear from my tutor so he or she can pass me to the next Module.  I am in great spirits after a few weeks of being uncertain about things in my life.  How things are going? How to live each day moment by moment? How to be happy as much as possible?  I think I have prevailed over the blues of the longest winter ever!

I am going to give credit to my new found friends who read my blog and recently contacted me.  LuLu or Luigina, I am starting with you.  She has the fabulous blog Calabrisella Mia.  She and I connected by chance, well, I forgot how we connected suffice to say, she has been a blast to talk to.   I enjoy her energy, her will power to find the right way to go about things, and the fact that in Canada you can have a Euro filled bank account.  No Fair!    She is planning sometime in the near future to move to her father's birthtown of Carpanzano.  I can't wait to meet her in person.  Thanks for listening to me vent these days, LuLu.

Also a shout out to Carolynn who has been a helpful confidant when it came to my relationship.  She has been a rock for me in keeping the focus on my dreams and goals in life.  Her dream is to move to Italy with her Military husband and retire.  It will be a great day when we can sit down and enjoy an espresso in a place we both love.  You will be there, I know it!

Liz, oh Liz, my Portland Mexicana Bella!  She and I connected a few months back after she commented on my blog.  It was great to have a friend that was going through a long distance relationship as well.  She has great listening skills that makes me actually talk myself into the answer I have been looking for.   Haha!  Her Italian amore, will be arriving this summer to Portland so they can start their life together on the same continent.  The day we meet in person will be a day I will cherish!

I also met up with a English Teacher of mine who was boggled on how much I have done from graduating from High School.  I asked him questions about teaching mostly but then if you know me, once you ask me about Italy I can't shut up. Ha!  He was interested in reading my work I have published online and there was an incentive in that.  He might ask me to speak to a writing class about writing.    Networking, I am telling you, it is the essential part of marketing yourself.

Well friends, tonight I am traveling by train to center of Chicago for a fabulous makeover party tomorrow with some girlfriends.  Be back in touch soon.  If you haven't contacted me yet and would like to, please do.  Love connections!

a presto Amici!
