Visualize, It really works!
I sent my application for British citizenship on January 3rd, 2008. And on January 15th, they have send my application to Liverpool to be processed. I am incredibly grateful for this. I am striving to be an EU citizen so I am able to work comfortably in Italy. And I am almost there. Really visualizing WORKS! I am not just saying it to say it. I have been visualizing how fabulous it will be to have my passport in hand walking onto the plane en route to Florence. It is like I already have citizenship! Anyways, I wanted to alert all my fellow bloggers on my process. I am eternally grateful for all your support and love in this process of OPERATION BRIT.
I will leave you all with my Vision Statement. It is said or what I perceived, is that you need to keep this to yourself, but in the name of Love, Hope and Perseverance, I MUST show you all this. Enjoy! Comments encouraged!

Hope it all works out for you..
I don't understand why you are applying to be a British Citizen though, thought you wanted to be a European Citizen to go and live and work in Florence, or anyway you choose in Italy. What has England got to do with Mainland Europe?

Being a British Citizen (thru my mother) will let me live in Florence legally. I can apply for residency after 3 months. Much easier than waiting a million years for my Italian. Being a British citizen, you are considered a EU citizen as well.

I have had dual Italian-U.S. citizenship for many years now and it has come in handy in so many ways - not just for me but for our children too. I hope you succeed in getting your EU citizenship too. I'll be checking in periodically to see your progress. I love your optimism.

Hi - I've had dual Italian/U.S. citizenship for many years now and it was totally worth the effort. It has come in handy many times, for me, my husband and our children. I wish you lots of luck getting it and will be following your blog to find out how it works out. I love your enthusiasm.
