Open Doors
It was confirmed on Tuesday through email notification that the British Embassy in DC received my application for citizenship. I have been visualizing how I will feel when I have the passport in my hand. That is what gets me through the day. I started a new job right before the new year. Today, sadly, I was told that my hours will be shortened to 4 hours a day instead of the 6 hours I have been working. I immediately started visualizing for a new and better job heading my way. After I cried a bit, of course.
I attended an interview downtown Chicago this weekend. It was with the Wright Leadership Institute having to do with Career Coaching and other such Personal Development aspects of life. Needless to say, I didn't get the job as there were 30 people interviewing for 3 positions. But today Kate, my contact from Wright, called me today to invite me to a MORE Life Training Weekend. Best part: It is FREE!! I am very excited about the weekend. As I am in need of motivation to keep moving towards my passions and desires in life. To improve my relationship with money. And many other things. I used this phrase when speaking with Kate:
"I believe this is MY YEAR!"
She really wanted to hear what that means to me, alas I will have to wait to explain on Jan 16th-18th.
Another idea that has been swirling around my mind, is about getting my TEFL/TESOL certification. My dear friend CJ(who is currently living in BsAs, Argentina) was in town this weekend and told me how he obtained the certification, seemed like something I can do. I have looked into it before because it is a way into living and working in Florence. Alas, I always was looking for on-site classes to take which runs around $1300. In a world of anything and everything online, I thought I would look into online courses. I have found an online certification online for a low price. I think I am going to do it!
This seems like a logical next step in my move to Florence. If I can't leave the country(because my passport is with the Brits), I might as well work towards something I will need to get a teaching job. If that is my path. Persevering towards my love, towards my city, towards where I belong...nothing is gonna stop us!

Katerina:
Now you've got the idea. Keep your goal quite literally in front of you. It'll get you up everyday. Make sure the goal is visualized in colour and the greatest of detail possible. Check it for more details every other day.
Go get your certification and passport. Meantime a new job. If the next one doesn't work out get another.
Go for it girl!!!
Ooooouraaaah!
