Love Thursday, Yes I am starting this tradition.
As most of you don't know, I have been dating this beautiful man here in Florence. I thought I would express to my friends in the blog world how much he means to me in this short of time.
I grew up as a tomboy, always getting dirty in the mud, climbing trees, and playing soccer. I never was looked at as a girl you date but a girl you can pass the ball to because she can surely kick the sh** out of it.
I was content with this relationship with guys throughout my jr. high, high school years. As college came and went, I was always looking for love, looking for someone who I can be myself with. In the process finding out many of my admirers were secretly watching me play my heart out on the soccer field up there in Winona, MN. None the wiser of these activities taking place, I moved through college as I always did, many friends, but no beaus.
Then I was introduced to Italy. I felt Italy opened me up to all the things I thought were impossible to ever manifest. I feel this is why I keep coming back, it gives me the strength and confidence that all good things come to those who think positively not negatively. I always think things can manifest when Italy comes into my mind. Why, you ask? I honestly don't know why. The feeling I have here makes me realize that whatever I put my mind to, it will happen sooner or later. I never thought I would speak Italian past my 2002 semester here, start a blog and meet some fabulous people, and now have a business idea that is all my own. Florence by Katerina! OH and my new found special someone.
It shows how far love can spread throughout this world. Last night I sat with my ragazzo and another friend, discussing how things can be done if you really want to complete said task, for example moving to London, learning another language, or starting a business. All these things add to this love I hold strongly for Firenze. The love that I have been carrying with me for 6 years now. And now I finally have a person I can share it with.
I am not going to show his picture yet. I will leave you with this view of my workspace in my beautiful house near the river.

My window open to the world, to my passion, to many more opportunities I will be able to accomplish.
PS: I have been working crazy like creating some beautiful writing pieces, soon I hope to get them published.
a presto amici
Happy Love Thursday!

what a lovely and romantic post. One of my goals this fall (other than getting my Italian up to speed) is to go out on at least one date. ha.

I like your blog...very cool!
This posting or should I say pic, reminds me of Carrie Bradshaw of Sex In the City, her desk in front of the window and her inspiration from New York!
