Why do I blog? Great Question!
I am taking the lead from a new friend Arlene from nyc/carribbean ragazza and my dear friend Tina from Tina's World on the subject: Why do YOU Blog? You blogger you, you bloggy blog blogger, blog blog blog blogperson. A little sillyness is necessary in life.
Well let's see, I started my blog back in 2006(I have switched from Blogger, Wordpress, and now my own domain, whew!) when I began my process of becoming an Italian citizen(Thanks Nana, bacio). If was really a way to clear my mind and express myself. I started following others such as Bleeding Espresso, Pecorino e Miele and Living in Florence. All of them had something about them, it is THEIR voice. I exploded myself amongst the bloggers and the blogworld immediately. Commenting here and there, gaining knowledge of Italian bureaucracy, and my favorite thing: making connections. Friends. Confidants. An amazing experience is when I started meeting the actually people behind each blog I followed. It all began with Tina, she and I met for the first time February 2007. Then there was Melinda from Living in Florence, then last month I had the honor of hosting the Expat GTG at my home Lorenzaccio ristorante in Florence. WOW! Now all of them are in front of me and I felt grateful to have met so many new found friends in such a short period of time. I started my blog in the summer of 2006 and now in 2008 I have a group of the famous bloggers I have gotten to know through their writing looking at me in the eye. FAB!
This is why I blog: To meet, express, and find connections with a group of people that I would never have the chance of meeting on the street.
Thanks to all the great blogger friends out there, that comment or just like reading my blog! I am grateful to have you all in my life.
Dimmi tutto, Tell me why you like to blog....I love to hear stories.

I started blogging as my friend Sally in Norfolk told me all about it..I just wanted to see what it was all about. Sometimes I have got stuck along the way, and then I think why would anyone be interested in some of the things I blog about. You are lucky to have met lots of bloggers in Italy..I haven't met anyone yet, only Sally and Geoff, and I have spoken to Welshcakes Limoncello on the phone when she visited Wales and we are in touch by email but I do have some fantastic people visit and comment from all over the world..this I really appreciate.
Funny that question has popped up, because only last week my brother asked the same question. Another question was how do people find my blog, if I don;t know them????

I wonder that myself, Anne. I wonder what they put into google in order to find my blog. It is great to know that people enjoy reading out blogs. Thanks for always commenting. I am sorry I am a lazy reader of blogs now. I will write to you soon!

Great reasons to blog; I think I actually blogged about this at one point, but to summarize what I think it said--I started blogging for a variety of reasons: to keep in touch with family/friends; practice writing; to make new acquaintances, etc.
Now I blog because I simply must. Can't. Stop. Blogging.
Thanks for the shout-out bella
