Eccomi.....
Internet is finally in my possession....
Allora....
I started out my travels being delayed, tired, but still standing tall and grateful for all my friends around me. Davide was of course late because he first came to pick me up at 2:30 when I was of course not in Firenze yet. So he drove all the way back home and then came back to collect me. It was great to see him and see how much he stopped eating. The man is way too skinny. We brought my bags to his bar the Public House on Via Palazzuolo. Daniella lives like two seconds from there. We drank some beers, in hindsight was the best idea so I could stay up pretty late. I was surprised by my dear Alush and Antonio at Joshua Tree. It was a barrel of monkeys to see them both across the table from me. As I kept thinking yesterday, it is like I never left. Everything is the same, people have moved on from one job to the next, dating different people, and then some things never change. My gang at Lorenzaccio in Piazza Signoria, for example. Besides the fact my hilarious friend Kelly is the coffee extraodinaire behind the bar at the ristorante but everyone else is right where I left them. Leaning against the wall, ogoggling the ladies that pass by, discussing the clientale and other bricker brack that they do as waitstaff in Firenze. My most fabulous moment so far is my meeting with Pascuale in the street on my first gorgeous day out:
Well more to come my friends.
a presto!

My most fabulous moment so far is my meeting with Pascuale in the street on my first gorgeous day out:
"Walking down Via Palazzuolo smiling, feeling the warmth on my back as I bite into a crisp apple I purchased earlier. Turned out to be a meeting point for Pascuale and I. I had the pleasure of meeting this rather stout and charismatic man last year at Joshua. We strolled along talking about the day, our lives, work, exchanging smiles amidst my intermediate 'listening' Italian and my medium level of 'speaking' Italian. We parted ways in the middle of Piazza Repubblica, greeting embrace and yet another smile. The sounds and sights are like they were the yesterday of September. Nothing changed. Nobody missed. Everyone is where they should be. I arrived at my tabacchieria and purchased a couple of postcards and francobolli(stamps). All in Italian. Brava io! Having best friends in a country so far is just me. Katie is welcome. Invite me and I arrive."
The night I arrived I sat amongst friends, Alush, Anto, Davide, Paolo, and was completely home. Besides of being severly overtired, I was upbeat, full of life, me. My aspirations of right now is right now; moment by moment, minute by minute. There is an idea of calmness, steadfast, finding a voice, motivation. To be myself, writing being my passion, life is ideal at this point. As Pascuale said, It is not like an American to have this idea of taking day by day. Well that is my mantra, moment by moment. Perseverance! It is not the destination but the journey. Well more to come my friends.
a presto!
